Rita Pollard, our Club President, has selected Francis House as her Charity of the Year. To provide a deeper understanding of the invaluable work they do, we welcomed James Ferguson to address the members of New Mills, Marple, and District.
During his presentation, James highlighted the comprehensive care offered by Francis House, including respite and end-of-life support for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses. He also discussed the essential assistance provided to families, ensuring they receive the short-term care and emotional support they need during challenging times.
Additionally, he shared insights into the charity’s fundraising initiatives, such as Easter egg collections and marathons, which help sustain their vital services.
We are proud to support Francis House to the best of our abilities and look forward to contributing to their incredible mission throughout the year.
